Any information that you provide is kept secure. Data that is no longer required will be removed or changed upon your request. We will use any details you give us to contact you via phone, email and social media and so that we can contact you with any changes or updates to our event, in case of emergency, or other relevant news
- Even after the race whether you return the following year, we have a statutory duty to retain some types of data for specific periods of time* so can’t delete everything immediately.
- If you have a complaint about how we have kept your information secure, or how we have responded to a request to access, update or erase your data, you can refer us to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
* We do need to retain certain types of data (such as records of complaints, accidents, and attendance) for set periods of time after our events, but we delete as much personal data as we can as soon as possible.
“As in 2017, Barry Cornelius plans to take photographs of the Burford Bolt 10K for publication on his website www.oxonraces.com and for possible use by the press. You will be able to download his photos free of charge. If you do not wish your image to appear as a significant part of any photograph that he publishes on the web or provides to the press, you should put a large thick red cross across your race number. If you are under 18, please ensure that your parent/carer is happy for photos of
you taken at the race to be published on the web. If you or your parent/carer do not wish photos of you to be published on the web please add a large thick red cross to your race number. Red markers
will be provided at the Race HQ for this purpose.”
Additionally, the same will apply to photos that friend/ parent’s designated take on the route.
